Ommm online - Wie wir unser digitales Wohlbefinden steigern / How to improve digital wellbeing
Fifth issue of the series "Mobile media - new challenges" focusing on digital wellbeing
Working material for the classroom
Poster: Unsere Regeln für den Videochat / Poster: Our rules for video chat
Not all rules from face-to-face teaching can be easily transferred to distance learning - this can lead to problems. With the poster "Our rules for video chat", klicksafe wants to help make digital lessons more positive. Since every class has its individual needs, we have only pre-formulated the three most important rules. Further rules can be negotiated and formulated individually in class discussions. This guarantees that the rules really address the existing problems.
We also created a background image for video chats showing the three rules.
Willst du mit mir Fakten checken gehen? / Do you want to go fact checking with me?
Accompanying material on the topic of disinformation on the net for peer-to-peer work.
Leitfaden für Eltern. Netflix, Disney+ & Co. Streamingdienste sicher nutzen / Guide for parents: Using streaming services safely
The use of streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+ or Amazon Prime Video is part of everyday life for many families. Of course, it is not only the parents who watch, but many children also watch or even use the services on their own. This detailed guide shows how parents can safely set different streaming services for their children.
Game and Play in the Digital Age Teacher's guide
A set of activities proposed to be implemented within the classroom, which do not involve gadgets or internet use, but still help children collaborate. It stresses the importance of play in children's development while promoting an equilibrium between online and offline activities.

Not all rules from face-to-face teaching can be easily transferred to distance teaching - this can lead to problems. With the background image "Our rules for video chat", teachers can easily communicate the three most important rules to the participants. Simply download the image and insert it as a background image in the video chat programme you are using.
We also created a poster with the three rules and space to add own rules.
Vertraust du noch oder checkst du schon? / Do you still trust or are you checking?
Who actually spreads fake news and conspiracy ideologies? How do you detect them and what should you do about it? The brochure by klicksafe informs parents and other interested parties about deliberately misleading and false news on the net. The info cards included in the brochure provide an overview of the topic of false news and can be used in discussions with children and young people.
There's an accompanying checklist for families available.
Familien Checkliste zu Verschwörungstheorien und Falschmeldungen / Family checklist on conspiracy theories and fake news
With this family checklist, parents and their children can start a conversation about the contents of the brochure "Do you still trust or are you checking?" ("Vertraust du noch oder checkst du schon?") and work out tasks together on the topic of fake news and conspiracy theories.
Poster: Warning Signals in Chats
Online, it is not always clear with whom we are writing, for example on social media or in gaming chat. This can be fatal, especially for children and young people, because not all chat contacts just want to talk casually. Initially trusting conversations can develop into dangerous situations. Sexual harassment and abuse often happen online and are usually initiated in the chats of popular platforms and networks. This poster can be used to sensitise children and young people to warning signals that something is wrong.
App+on - Sicher, kritisch und fair im Netz / Safe, critical and fair online
The teaching material is aimed at pupils from the fifth grade upwards and comprises ten teaching units in which children and young people learn a critical and responsible use of the Internet. The units are based on ten selected videos from ZDFtivi's "App+on" offer (ZDFtivi is the children and youth programme of the public broadcaster ZDF). Among other things, these deal with false beauty ideals on Instagram, the dangers of fake news or the repetition of gender clichés in online profiles.
