In collaboration with our project parnert and cybersecurity expert, CERT.be, we developed a educational tool for teachers (or other education professionals) to work on the topic of privacy and personal information. According to recent European studies, children are using the internet and owing smartphones at a younger age, already from their 8 years old. The average age when children use the Internet in Belgium is 7,6 and owing a smartphone is 9,2. That is why we decided to focus our target group on 8 -11 years old.

JUNGLE WEB A funny educational board game on e-safety where speed, observation and communication in the family are crucial…
Child Focus pays particular attention to vulnerable groups in online media education by strengthening its inclusive approach in its prevention work. This means that Child Focus does not develop tools specifically for vulnerable children or people with disabilities, but the purpose is to adapt existing tools or develop new ones so that they do not exclude anyone and thus also reflect specific needs of different vulnerable groups in society. The tool must be usable and accessible to ALL children. It is in this context that Jungle Web was born in early 2014.
