Webinar on "Online Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation: Definition Prevalence, Process, and characteristics"

Between October 2019 and December 2020, the Italian Safer Internet Center - SIC ran seven educational and awareness raising seminars addressed to youth professionals (social workers, paediatricians, psychologists and teachers, as well as all those professionals involved in child protection issues) aiming at deepening understanding the current challenges to the children’s rights in the digital age in terms of education, privacy, protection, participation and freedom.
The purpose of these seminars, each of which focused on a different aspect of the issue “Children and ICT” (e.g. digital education in schools, data protection, digital inclusion, cyber violence, online abuse) was to bring together academics, experts, practitioners with particular expertise in this area and youth professionals in order to share and to improve the competencies and skills necessary to better protect children and young people from the risks associated with the use of new technologies.
The resource is the registration of the webinar on "Online Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation: Definition Prevalence, Process, and characteristics".
