video of the “Back to School 2023” event

This video reports the entire event of the “Back to School 2023” held at the Ministry of Education on September 21st with the aim of promoting the ePolicy process through the involvement of schools, teachers, students, parents who have experienced the document and who have promoted the conscious and virtuous use of the internet and technologies with their peers and schools.
During the event, a video spot to spread the ePolicy document among schools, teachers and parents was presented (the video is available as resource on this site as well as on the Generazioni Connesse's youtube channel). The video spot was created with the professional support of the Giffoni Film Festival and the help of the experts from the Safer Internet Centre. The video is the first spot created by the Youth Panel as a cooperation activity between the Italian SIC and young people for the creation of communication campaigns to raise awareness among their peers, parents, and teachers.
On this occasion, the winning school of the "The Kids are All Rights" national competition was announced. The winners received as an award the opportunity to attend a coding and making course at HPE (Hewlett-Packard Enterprise) headquarter in Rome.
Moreover, an unprecedented round table was then held between young people from the Youth Panel (the SIC youth consultation group) and experts from the three social platforms Google, Meta and TikTok, to debate on online safety issues that concern children and young people aged between 13 and 18.
On the afternoon of 21 September, in continuity with the morning event, the webinar "eSafety tools and practices within Generazioni Connesse project: the ePolicy and the eSafety Toolkit" was held, in collaboration with eTwinning digital platform and aimed at teachers, headmasters, youth professionals, educators.
