Training for middle schools: Lost in Data - Where is data collected in everyday life?

In this interactive training, students will learn where they leave digital footprints in everyday life, how this data collection affects their privacy, and how they can act more consciously.

The class follows a fictional couple on a trip to Barcelona, a city full of opportunities and surprises. But suddenly, one of the travelers disappears: Nino is missing! To find her, the students need to search through Nino's smartphone. Through realistic scenarios, they explore how smartphone apps are used, look at hidden data collection, and question how personal information is shared without them knowing. They will learn how easily data is collected, what "Big Data" means, and how artificial intelligence plays a role in gathering data. They will also learn how to protect their privacy and be more careful with their digital footprints.
