On Tuesday, 11 February 2020, Safer Internet Day (SID) was celebrated worldwide. Initiated by the European Union (EU), SID is organised every year with the aim of promoting a safer and better internet. This year again, the motto was "Together for a better internet". In this context, many events and activities were organised in Luxembourg.

Safer Internet Day (SID) was held on Tuesday, 11 February 2020 in over 170 countries around the world, united under the slogan of "Together for a better internet". The Spanish Safer Internet Centre (SIC) would like to express its gratitude to the centres, entities and families that participated in all activities held around SID 2020, for their involvement: in Spain, 830 people registered and 2,020 watched the livestream of the central event.

But when it is someone being sexually exploited or abused, forgetting about the person behind the image is dangerous. 2.2 billion people globally are under the age of 18, making them society's biggest group, and the most vulnerable to online harm.
