Insafe booth at IGF 2023: Promoting a Better Internet for Kids and Safer Internet Day 2024

At the IGF 2023 event, which took place in Kyoto from 8-12 October 2023, the Insafe delegation hosted a promotional booth in the IGF village, promoting the annual Safer Internet Day (SID) campaign and Better Internet for Kids (BIK) activities. The booth was a focal point for engaging discussions with conference participants worldwide.

As in previous years, the Insafe booth was a focal point in the IGF village, inviting participants to engage in conversations and network. An interactive polaroid campaign encouraged booth visitors to have their pictures taken with the SID mascot.

Various stakeholders, including children and young people, visited the booth during the conference, showing solid support for the annual SID campaign. The impressive youth participation from the global south was notable at this year's forum, as they enthusiastically shared their commitments to co-create a safer online environment for young people.

Additionally, the Insafe booth provided a great opportunity to showcase the efforts of the national European Safer Internet Centre and their respective work in cybersecurity and digital well-being.
