X is a social network that allows users to send and read messages called 'tweets'. In summer 2023, Twitter officially changed its brand name to X - and updated its logo accordingly.

In summer 2023, Twitter officially rebranded to X. X is a micro blogging social networking service which allows users to send and receive text-­based posts (tweets). X can be accessed directly through their website or by using the app which is available for different devices and platforms. X is public by default, and tweets are searchable unless the user protects them – this means anyone searching for information on X using an app or website will be able to find tweets.

Is it safe for children and young people?

X requires people using the service to be 13 years of age or older.
