This website showcases the numerous events and activities taking place worldwide to commemorate Safer Internet Day. This year, events and activities took place throughout February 2025. The next SID celebration will take place in February 2026, with the global day of focus on Tuesday, 10 February 2026.
Through this campaign, we call upon all stakeholders to join together to make the internet a safer and better place for all, and especially children and young people. This website shines a spotlight on what's happening in your country and connects you to the organisations and supporters leading activities. Safer Internet Day is celebrated around the world in February of each year, with Safer Internet Centres, Safer Internet Day Committees and other supporters in each of the countries coming together to plan and organise events.

Final selection bootcamp of the 2025 Cybersecurity Challenge in Portugal

During the bootcamp, the crypto team achieved an impressive third place in CryptoCTF 2025, an international competition focused solely on cryptography, which included 364 teams from around the world. The bootcamp’s finalist team also secured seventh place in L3akCTF 2025, a competition that featured 1,581 international teams.

Macedonia reaches milestone in child protection: child helpline number 116 111 assigned to AloBushavko Helpline by Megjashi

After years of dedicated advocacy and continuous efforts by Megjashi to secure and opearate the helpline, this important milestone is now realised with the support of the MkSafeNet project co-funded by EU, and the national funds of the RNM, led by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, in cooperation with A1, the telecommunications operator, whose contributions have been essential in advancing the process.

Community, time for reflection, and educational balance: the experience of the Danish digital counselling helpline Cyberhus

At Cyberhus, “regular users” are defined as someone who has used one of the counselling services daily, or almost daily, for a period of at least six months. Regular use are not necessarily seen as problematic, and as part of the counselling services, counsellors actively encourage young people to return.
