United States Safer Internet Centre - ConnectSafely

Profile last updated: December 2024

About our SID activities

For Safer Internet Day 2025, we are excited to continue our grant program for schools and youth-serving organisations, offering access to our free resources, including comprehensive lesson plans, detailed guides, quick reference materials, and engaging videos. Additionally, we will host a virtual event for parents featuring ConnectSafely Education Director Kerry Gallagher in collaboration with the National PTA. This event will provide valuable insights and practical tips on fostering a safer online environment for families. In California, we will host a live, in-person event that empowers young people by giving them a "seat at the table" to engage in meaningful discussions about proposed legislation, both at the state and national levels, that directly impacts youth access to the internet.

What we are doing to create a better internet...

We will foster open and productive discussions in workplaces, schools, and homes to promote online safety and digital responsibility. In alignment with the Safer Internet Day (SID) slogan, "Together for a better internet," we will host interactive workshops, webinars, and community forums that empower individuals to understand and mitigate digital risks. We hope to nurture a culture where everyone recognises internet safety is a shared responsibility.
