Danish Safer Internet Centre

Profile last updated: January 2026

About our SID activities

Safer Internet Centre Denmark will celebrate Safer Internet Day 2026 by focusing on video games, with the purpose of strengthening parents, caretakers and relevant professionals’ knowledge on themes related to children and young people’s use of digital media.

A series of materials targeting parents will be released on SIC DKs SID website. SIC DK's popular parental guide to video games will be updated and rereleased, with a greater focus on monetisation and video game influencers. The guide will provide parents with information on different forms of issues related to children and young people’s use of video games, and suggestions for how parents can engage in dialogue with their children. Furthermore, SIC DK's guides for specific video games and video game-related platforms will be updated, and new guides will be added. The existing guides are already being used by professionals working with children, but they are also relevant and easy-to-access for parents, who want more information on a specific video game.

The gaming-website with new and updated materials will be released at the end of February.
