What does it mean to have a healthy digital balance? How much screen time is too much? And is there such a thing as too little screen time? How much exercise do you actually need, outside of your screen time? Does it matter what you do on your screens, or is all screen time identical?

This updated version of Dutch Media Literacy Network's Media Literacy Competency Model for 2021 presents our definition of media literacy in a clear visual model. This model makes clear our definition of media literacy, forms a starting point for activities, projects and services for media literacy professionals, can be used for the development of research and tools to monitor media literacy among various target groups and forms the basis for the activities of Netwerk Mediawijsheid, such as Media Literacy Week, the challenge #NLmediawijs and the educative game MediaMasters.

This interactive test will enable you to find out how deep you are stuck in a filter bubble of your own. The questions are very specific and at the same time provide instructions on how to proceed in order to burst your own filter bubble. A collaborative project with the Luxembourgish Center for Political Education (www.zpb.lu).

The video tackles the subject of harmful content discovered online by children and it addresses to children aged 5-11. It is a colored animated 2 minute movie presenting the problem and possible solutions.

What are typical juvenile offenses and how are they tried in court? What are the stories behind the crimes? The ZDFtivi format "Young Crime" explores these questions. In episodes of 25 minutes each, a true case is presented. In most cases, a German juvenile court has ruled on the matter. Theft, property damage, assault, coercion, blackmail - "Young Crime" focuses on the crimes that are primarily committed by young people.

When adults specifically approach minors on the Internet, this is called "cybergrooming". For example, children and young people are asked to send nude photos or to meet the perpetrators in real life.

How do I recognize cybergrooming?
Where do the attacks take place?
And how can I protect my child from cybergrooming?

When you die you leave a lot behind. Physical items, such as books, furniture or CDs. But also a lot of accounts and digital things. What happens to your digital belongings after you die? And what can you do now, to properly arrange your digital legacy?

In this course, the facilitator uses an introductory video to be shown to the group, a turnkey workshop sheet to guide the decrypting, analysis and debate with the young people. A complementary sheet also enables the facilitator to grasp the subject when preparing his/her workshop. The documentary video is an original production by Tralalere based on real hate messages found online.
