In 2023, Child Focus celebrated its 25th anniversary. The organisation has so far handled 85,000 cases, including 43,000 cases of disappearance and 42,000 cases of sexual exploitation. 25 years later, Child Focus is more relevant than ever.

To address online safety challenges and promote a safer online environment for children, a nationwide TV campaign has been launched by the Greek Safer Internet Centre. This campaign aims to educate parents, caregivers, guardians and young people about the importance of online safety, provide practical tips and guidance for navigating the digital world responsibly, and inform about the support offered by the Greek helpline and hotline services.

Social Media Day was celebrated in Portugal on 30 June 2023. The Portuguese Safer Internet Centre, aware of the peculiarities of these platforms, developed the In[sight] campaign to make people aware of some widely used terms and acronyms.

Child Focus launched the card game GrooMix. This educational game aims to make children and teenagers aware of and resilient to phenomena such as online grooming. Grooming is the process by which an adult approaches a minor with a sexual purpose, either to meet them or to obtain explicit material. The game focuses on the (potential) victim perspective: how can you, as a young person, protect yourself against grooming and how to deal with messages from strangers?

Online pornography is very easily accessible to all internet users. Slovenian children and teenagers encounter it at a very early age, which can give them incorrect ideas about sexuality and relationships between individuals, and what they see can deeply affect them and their education.
