Press and Media Week at School 2021: fight fake news with Internet Sans Crainte
The 32nd edition of the Press and Media Week at School (#PMWS), organised by the Centre for Media and Information Education (CLEMI), took place from 22 to 27 March 2021 with Internet Sans Crainte. The theme chosen for this edition was “Get informed to understand the world”.
Launch of E-Junior: an edutainment platform by Samsung and Tralalere
Samsung Electronics France, in collaboration with Tralalere and its Internet Sans Crainte programme (part of the French Safer Internet Centre), has recently launched the new edutainment platform e-Junior.fr – a platform designed for children to make learning about online safety issues easier and more enjoyable.
The Slovenian Awareness Centre organised many webinars during the autumn season
At a time when measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are still in place, and social interaction is severely limited, online events have replaced live events. The Slovenian awareness centre, Safe.si, organised three online events for students, teachers and kindergarten teachers in autumn 2021. Online events prove to be easier to organise, allowing for more people to participate. Additionally, a recording is usually available for those who cannot attend live.

The Insafe network attends the Internet Governance Forum 2021
Monday, 6 December 2021 marks the start of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF), taking place in a hybrid format in Katowice, Poland and online. This year, an Insafe delegation will host two workshops: one looking at gender-based issues relating to online violence or abuse, and one discussing the overarching challenge of the digital divide.
Minister Martin launches comprehensive online safety research on internet use by children and adults in Ireland
Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Catherine Martin TD, launched a comprehensive report of a national survey of children and young people, and their parents and carers regarding online safety. The report was commissioned following a recommendation put forward by the National Advisory Council for Online Safety (NACOS) that acknowledged the need for up-to-date research and evidence about the state of online safety in Ireland.
Media literacy project for 0-6-year-olds in Denmark
The Danish Media Council for children and young people is currently cooperating with several media professionals, parents and carers, and children to produce a series of materials and activities as part of a nationwide project on media literacy for 0-6-year-olds and those who care for them.

This autumn, members of the Czech Youth Panel were given the task of devising a script for a short video on the topic of internet security. Subsequently, they stepped in front of the camera and, under the direction of Patrik Fiala and Martin Klesnil, who are shooting the successful podcast "At the round table" in the Czech Republic, experienced first-hand what it's like to be an actor.
