New online course about victims of teenage pimps available

The latest studies in Flanders and Brussels on victims of teenage pimps are clear: professionals with in-depth knowledge and skills about this phenomenon can no longer tolerate delay.

A lack of reliable information about this phenomenon leads to underdetection of the phenomenon, which consequently still stands too often in the way of finding an adequate approach.

Child Focus wants to fill this gap and therefore launched an online course on victims of teenage pimps. This free course is aimed at professionals, more specifically social workers, police officers and prosecutors.

Using interactive methodologies, this online course guides professionals through four modules:

  • Knowing - Debunking myths about victims and perpetrators.
  • Detecting - Recognising a teenage pimp victim.
  • Responding - Responding appropriately to a situation of sexual exploitation and prostitution.
  • Preventing - Reducing the risk of becoming a victim.

The online course is free and is available in French and Dutch. To access the online course, please fill out the registration form. You will be emailed a username and password within three business days.
