This report presents 35 recommendations to address growing mental health and well-being challenges among Danish children and youth aged 0–25. It defines well-being as the capacity to navigate life's inevitable setbacks within supportive communities. The report identifies key pressure points, including digital overexposure, modern parenting dynamics, and performance pressures. It advocates for delayed smartphone adoption, screen-free environments, strengthened civil society and leisure communities, renewed pedagogical focus on character building, and earlier municipal interventions to foster resilience and social cohesion. The Well-Being Commission was established by the Danish government in 2023 to make recommendations that support the well-being, empowerment and courage of children and young people.
