Better Internet for Kids

This report presents findings from a large-scale national survey conducted in 2025 by Luxembourg’s SCRIPT (Service de Coordination de la Recherche et de l’Innovation Pédagogiques et Technologiques) under the Ministry of Education. The study involved 4,000 students and 240 teachers and explored their knowledge and understanding of artificial intelligence, current practices, and existing school rules regarding AI use. Gathering input from students and teachers, the study demonstrates that AI tools have become commonplace in education, with users citing benefits in translation, text simplification, lesson planning, and creative brainstorming. However, significant divides exist in self-assessed digital competence, and concerns persist regarding data privacy, misinformation, and cognitive delegation.
