This website showcases the numerous events and activities taking place worldwide to commemorate Safer Internet Day. SID celebrations take place in February 2026, with the global day of focus on Tuesday, 10 February 2026.
Through this campaign, we call upon all stakeholders to join together to make the internet a safer and better place for all, and especially children and young people. This website shines a spotlight on what's happening in your country and connects you to the organisations and promoters leading activities. In your country

Safer Internet Day is celebrated around the world in February of each year, with Safer Internet Centres, Safer Internet Day Committees and other promoters in each of the countries coming together to plan and organise events.

Together with your child When you’re looking for a fun app or game for your child, choose something that matches their “offline” interests. Does your child love building? Then Minecraft might be a great choice. Do they enjoy drawing? There are plenty of drawing apps available. This way, you can find online alternatives for many activities. The reverse is also true: if your child enjoys a puzzle app, there are lots of great physical games for that too! 

Safer Internet Day celebrations in Greece
Greek Safer Internet Centre 26 February 2026

More than 5,000 schools actively took part through creative actions, national student competitions, and educational events organised either independently or in collaboration with the cybercrime division of the Greek police and the Greek school network. Two major central events were held, one at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Athens, and another at FORTH in Crete, bringing together over 1,200 students who became the true protagonists of the day.
