About our SID activities
We will launch a special webpage for Safer Internet Day to introduce initiatives taking place in Japan. Additionally, on 12 February, we will host the "Safer Internet Day 2025 Japan Forum," where representatives from various companies and organisations working towards a safer and more secure internet in Japan will be invited to share their perspectives through lightning talks (LT).

What we are doing to create a better internet...
About us
Safer Internet Association (SIA) is a non-profit organiz\sation fostering Internet freedom and ensuring a safer internet environment for all. To achieve this goal, SIA plans and executes effective measures against abuse of the Internet technology by using a scientific approach based on factual data and quantitative evaluation scheme.
We believe the Internet is primarily built upon self-discipline and self-help of citizens and companies, and not upon government control. However, it requires coordination among diversified bodies, including the government, businesses and citizens, to overcome conflicting interests and make it work in our society. SIA endeavours to enrich people’s lives through a safe and affordable internet environment by coordinating conflicting interests of different parties and further educating users on internet literacy.
