What we are doing to create a better internet...
SID Kosovo joined the SID2025 campaign this year and has planned ahead to carry our several activities:
- SID2025 Kosovo start of the joint campaign 'Better and safer internet for children in Kosovo'. The Campaign is running in social networks of both Office for Good Governance and Human Rights of the Kosovo Government and CRCA Kosovo. The campaign is also coordinated with partners in Albania and Western Balkans.
- Launch of the Safer Internet Centre and the National Hotline for Safer Internet for Children in Kosovo, under the address: www.iSIGURT-kosova.org - As Kosovo doesn't have yet its country domains ending with .ks, iSIGURT Albania decided to support Kosovo with its expertise to establish such a service that was lacking in Kosovo, leaving more than 1 million children and youth without services. iSIGURT Albania is supporting the service based on its long-term expertise and know-how.
- Kosovo joins the Regional Network of the Safer Internet Centres in the Western Balkans (SIC-WB Network) whose aim is to strengthen cooperation and exchange of best practices to protect children from digital harms, while promoting better policies, legislation and engagement of authorities to fight CSAM and other digital harms. The network brings together already well-established Safer Internet Centres across six Western Balkan countries and partners actively engaged on the protection of children and youth in the digital environment.
- Safer Internet national workshop will be help in early March in Prishtina to discuss safety in the digital space for children and youth in Kosovo. The workshop will gather national authorities responsible for child protection in various areas, civil society and the international community.

SID Kosovo is a new committee established this year (2025) thanks to the long-term cooperation of CRCA Kosovo office and the Office for Good Governance of the Kosovo Government. Based on the fact that Kosovo lacks better protections for children in the digital space, we have agreed to initiative a plan of support for Kosovo, that includes public awareness, establishment of the Safer Internet Centre and working together to improve policies and legislation based on best standards of EU Acquis.
