About our SID activities
Let's talk about our digital well-being
From 10 February 2026, the 23rd edition of Safer Internet Day (SID) will unfold over two months of free, nationwide actions under the slogan “Screens and you… how are you doing?”, echoing the 2026 National Cause dedicated to mental health. Building on the momentum of the 2025 edition, which reached nearly 500,000 young people across France, the campaign will place a strong focus on raising awareness of responsible and safe digital use.
The 2026 Safer Internet Day edition invites young people and their families to reflect on how the content they consume and their online interactions influence their well-being. It aims to provide them with practical tools to develop a healthier, more balanced relationship with screens.
The campaign will be structured around three key priorities:
- Understanding the factors that can undermine well-being online, such as attention-capturing design mechanisms and constant connectivity.
- Learning to recognise how one feels after time spent on digital platforms, including identifying impacts on sleep, attention and mood.
- Supporting young people in taking concrete steps towards a more balanced and positive use of screens, through self-regulation and informed choices around connection and disconnection.
What we are doing to create a better internet...
Implemented by the national Internet Sans Crainte programme, Safer Internet Day 2026 will explore the impact of screen use on young people’s well-being, as well as ways to preserve it. A wide range of educational resources, workshops and practical tools will be made available to families, teachers and prevention professionals to support informed and responsible digital practices.
As part of the French school calendar, Safer Internet Day will offer free resources over a two-month period for teachers, parents and children aged 8 to 17. These resources will provide practical and accessible learning opportunities, including educational kits, digital learning pathways, poster competitions, materials to support group discussions on online well-being, expert-led webinars, and more.
The 2026 edition is co-organised by the Safer Internet France partners, including the 3018 helpline and the reporting platform Point de Contact. It is supported by several ministries, alongside a broad ecosystem of companies, associations and stakeholders from the education and digital sectors, making Safer Internet Day a strong catalyst for awareness-raising and coordinated action.
