United States Safer Internet Day Committee - ConnectSafely

Profile last updated: December 2025

About our SID activities

For Safer Internet Day 2026, we’re proud to continue our grant programme for schools and youth-serving organisations, providing access to our free resources—including comprehensive lesson plans, in-depth guides, quick reference materials, and engaging videos. We will also co-host a virtual event for parents with the National PTA, offering practical advice and insights to help families navigate online safety. In addition, we’ll host an in-person event in California that empowers young people to participate in meaningful conversations about proposed state and federal legislation that affects their access to the internet.

What we are doing to create a better internet...

We will encourage open, constructive conversations in workplaces, schools, and homes to strengthen online safety and digital responsibility. In the spirit of the Safer Internet Day theme, “Together for a better internet,” we’ll offer interactive workshops and resources that help people better understand digital risks and how to address them. Our goal is to build a culture where everyone sees internet safety as a shared responsibility.

About us

ConnectSafely is a Silicon Valley, California-based non-profit organisation dedicated to educating people about online safety, privacy, security and digital wellness. Our resources include research-based safety tips, parents’ guidebooks, advice, news and commentary on all aspects of tech use and policy.
