About our SID activities

This Safer Internet Day, TikTok is encouraging its community to stay #safertogether, by providing an in-app hub with information about how to stay safe online, think critically about the content you're seeing and how to manage your screen-time.

This hub will be available for our EU, UK and Israeli community, who will also receive a push notification directing them to the hub. Last year, our in-app hub was viewed over a million times by our European community.

What we are doing to create a better internet...

While Safer Internet Day is a great reminder to prioritise online safety, this commitment is at TikTok's core year-round.

Offering a safe and supportive environment is our top priority. We believe that feeling safe is essential to helping people feel comfortable with expressing themselves openly and creatively. Our Community Guidelines apply to everyone, and to everything shared on TikTok. From removing harmful content, continuously investing billions in Trust and Safety and working closely with safety experts, we are dedicated to keeping TikTok a safe space for everyone.

TikTok works with industry experts, non-governmental organisations, and industry associations around the world in our commitment to building a safe platform for our community. We collaborate with organisations in different regions to share best practices, develop resources, and exchange ideas on safety-related topics.

About us

TikTok is a short form video app. It is a place for fun and positive content created by real people around the world. Our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy.

Our most important commitment at TikTok is to create a welcoming environment that keeps our community safe. Our approach to safety spans policies, product, practices, and partners as we build a community where creativity and free expression can thrive.
