TaC - Together against Cybercrime International

Profile last updated: February 2026

About our SID activities

For Safer Internet Day 2026, TaC International plans to contribute through a set of educational, participatory, and capacity-building activities targeting young people, community project leaders, and local digital stakeholders.

Planned activities may include:

  • Awareness-raising sessions and workshops on responsible digital use, online safety, data protection, and digital ethics, tailored to youth and community contexts; Training and mentoring activities for young people leading or planning community-based digital projects, with a focus on governance, user protection, and sustainability;
  • Dialogue-based events encouraging discussion between young digital actors, educators, civil society organisations, and other stakeholders on shared responsibility for a safer and better internet;
  • Online and offline outreach actions, including the dissemination of educational materials and practical tools aligned with Safer Internet Day themes.

TaC International’s activities will align closely with the campaign’s core objectives: empowering users, strengthening digital responsibility, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. This section will be updated as the campaign develops and activities are finalised.

What we are doing to create a better internet...

At TaC International, we believe that a better internet can only be built together, by empowering users and strengthening the structures that support safe and responsible digital environments.

We work to create a better internet by:

Equipping young people and local actors with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to use digital technologies responsibly; Promoting preventive approaches that address online risks before harm occurs, rather than reacting after the fact;

  • Supporting community-based digital initiatives that place user protection, ethical design, and social impact at their core;
  • Encouraging dialogue and shared responsibility between users, educators, civil society, and digital stakeholders.

By combining education, capacity-building, and community engagement, we contribute to online spaces that are safer, more inclusive, and more trustworthy, in line with the Safer Internet Day vision: Together for a better internet.

About us

TaC International is originally specialised in the fight against cybercrime, TaC International has progressively evolved its mission towards preventive, educational, and structural approaches to digital safety. Today, the organisation focuses on strengthening local capacities, protecting digital users, and promoting the responsible, ethical, and inclusive use of digital technologies.

This strategic evolution is grounded in a clear observation: digital abuses and online harms tend to emerge and spread in environments where digital services are poorly structured, data protection is weak, and local actors lack the tools, guidance, and governance frameworks needed to manage digital technologies responsibly. In response, TaC International develops actions that place people, communities, and local ecosystems at the centre of digital transformation. Its work combines training, awareness-raising, mentoring, and strategic support, with a strong emphasis on youth engagement, community-led innovation, and digital responsibility. Since 2022, this approach has been implemented through TaC International’s Youth Programme, which brings together all initiatives aimed at supporting young people who are developing digital, social, or community-based projects. Through this programme, the organisation seeks to empower young digital actors to build safer, more resilient, and more trustworthy online environments, both locally and internationally.
