About our SID activities

For the third year in a row, Snap will release its Digital well-Being index (DWBI) and research, a measure of generation Z’s online psychological well-being across all platforms and devices – not just Snapchat – from respondents in six countries: Australia, France, Germany, India, the UK, and the U.S. The index examines teens’ (aged 13 to 17) and young adults’ (aged 18 to 24) experiences with online risk, the relationships that they’re forging online, and their reactions to 20 “sentiment statements” that make up the DWBI. Year three index readings will be released for the six-country average and for each individual geography. For Snap’s DWBI results, see this link

What we are doing to create a better internet...

From the beginning, we designed Snapchat to be different from traditional social media to help people connect with close friends and family without many of the pressures they felt on other platforms. Our goal is to provide a healthier and safer environment for all Snapchatters, especially the youngest members of our community. Our approach to safety and privacy starts with the unique design of our platform and includes extra safeguards for teen Snapchatters.

About us

Snap Inc. is a technology company that believes the camera presents the greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. We contribute to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together.
