About our SID activities
INHOPE’s hotline network is our greatest asset and our biggest pride. We are uniquely privileged to bring together the expertise of a global network of 57 hotlines across 52 countries worldwide, who share knowledge, exchange ideas, learn from one another, and collect data on CSAM trends globally, while working to remove CSAM from the internet and create a safer online environment for all. We are, truly, together for a better internet.
Aligned with the Safer Internet Day theme, we will spotlight how our network of hotlines works together for a better internet. The impact of our network is not only international and cross-border, but also local, and we will highlight how each individual hotline contributes to Safer Internet Day in its own context.
What we are doing to create a better internet...
INHOPE works tirelessly to build a safer internet through coordinated global action. Our advocacy efforts shape online safety policy through evidence-based contributions to legislative developments, while resources like our Global CSAM Legislative Overview guide policymakers and practitioners worldwide.
To expand our impact, we actively develop new hotlines in underserved regions, providing comprehensive support from initial setup through to full membership. Our strategic partnerships with technology companies, law enforcement, and child protection organisations strengthen this global safety net.
At the heart of our work is our commitment to our member hotlines. We foster excellence through comprehensive capacity-building, including monthly analyst Q&As, advanced workshops, and our annual Insafe/INHOPE Training Meeting. Our Quality Assurance Programme (QAP) ensures consistent high standards while protecting the wellbeing of analysts doing this challenging work.
Knowledge sharing is vital to our success. Through our Peer2Peer programme, regular Member Meetings, and Annual General Meeting, hotlines learn from each other's experiences and develop innovative approaches. These connections create a powerful community of practice, united in the mission to eliminate online child exploitation.
By bringing together diverse stakeholders and facilitating continuous learning and collaboration, INHOPE empowers its network to tackle online threats effectively and sustainably. Together, we're creating lasting change for a safer digital world.
About us
INHOPE is a global network of hotlines working to eliminate child sexual abuse material (CSAM) from the internet. Since 1999, INHOPE has provided a safe and anonymous way for the public to report suspected CSAM online. Over the last 25 years, the organisation has grown from nine European hotlines to a global network of 57 hotlines in 52 countries, united by the mission of protecting children and making the internet a safer place.
INHOPE is based in the Netherlands and our member hotlines operate across six continents: Africa, Asia, Australia/Oceania, Europe, North and South America.
In a borderless digital world, CSAM has global consequences, and as its distribution grows, so do our efforts. This is only possible with the support and funding from the European Commission, Safe Online, and INHOPE’s annual funding partners.
