About our SID activities
The celebration of Safer Internet Day 2026 begins with a national conference organised by the Moroccan Centre for Polytechnical Research and Innovation (CMRPI), in partnership with the National School of Applied Sciences – Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra, on February 10, 2026, with the support of the Council of Europe Office in Rabat and the participation of institutions that are members of the Safer Internet Day Morocco
Committee, as well as young students and engineers taking part in the conference.
The theme of this conference focuses on the challenges posed by fake news and artificial intelligence, and it will also mark the launch of new awareness initiatives.
Planned activities for Safer Internet Day 2026 include:
- National awareness campaign: the Ministry of National Education launches the 10th edition of the Safer Internet Day campaign across all schools in the Kingdom of Morocco.
- MUN 2026, organised by EMC Youth: a forum on the main theme of “Digital Citizenship” to raise awareness among young people about responsible digital practices.
- AUSIM – CMRPI awareness caravan: activities targeting children and parents in different cities, starting with Oujda on February 13, 14, and 15, 2026.

What we are doing to create a better internet...
At the Moroccan Centre for Polytechnical Research and Innovation (CMRPI), we are committed to fostering a safer and more responsible digital environment for all, in line with the Safer Internet Day 2026 slogan, “Together for a better Internet”.
Through our role as the coordinator of the Safer Internet Day Morocco Committee, we bring together governmental institutions, educational organisations, youth associations, and technology partners to advance digital safety, awareness, and citizenship across the Kingdom.
This year, we are launching a series of initiatives to promote the responsible use of technology:
- A national conference addressing the challenges of Fake News and Artificial Intelligence, gathering students, engineers, and key stakeholders to exchange ideas and best practices.
- The 10th edition of the Safer Internet Day campaign in schools, empowering students nationwide with knowledge and tools to navigate the digital world safely.
- Youth-led initiatives, including a Model United Nations (MUN) focusing on Digital Citizenship, promote dialogue and active engagement among young people.
- A nationwide awareness caravan in partnership with AUSIM, engaging children and parents in multiple cities, starting with Oujda, to provide practical guidance on safe Internet practices.
By connecting institutions, educators, families, and youth, CMRPI demonstrates how collaborative action can make the digital space safer, more inclusive, and more empowering. Together, we inspire responsible behaviour, prevent cyber risks, and encourage informed digital participation—ensuring that every user can contribute to a better internet for everyone.
