About our SID activities
In communication with different stakeholders, institutions, CSOs and media, and in order to raise the awareness of the public and decision-makers, Juventas will send a message that together we must make a greater contribution to the creation of a safe society for all children and young people in Montenegro, especially in the online sphere
What we are doing to create a better internet...
Juventas strives to contribute to the creation of safe online spaces for all children in Montenegro. By implementing projects with an aim to strengthen the resistance of children and young people to inadequate online content and promote the online safety of children and young people, it gives a strong contribution to the creation of a safer Montenegrin society.
About us
Juventas (formerly Youth Cultural Center - OKC Juventas) is a non-governmental organisation founded on January 29, 1996, in Podgorica. That year, a group of students financially supported by the Open Society Institute of Montenegro started working on the Youth magazine Juventas. The aim was to create media focused on young people's ideas, interests, and problems. NGO Juventas emerged from this initiative.
Today, Juventas provides direct assistance, supports the improvement of the quality of services, produces and advocates proposals for changes in public policies, and develops the capacities of decision-makers, service providers, and target groups with whom it works.
Vision
The Vision of Juventas is Montenegro as a society of social justice where all people feel safe, free, and respected and participate in decision-making. They have the same possibilities and the enjoyment of human rights regardless of differences and personal characteristics.
Mission
The mission of Juventas is to improve social cohesion and participate in creating a community for everyone. It implements this through the promotion of active participation of young people, the development of public policies and public advocacy, innovative and sustainable support services for the socially excluded, as well as through the empowerment of key actors in this process.
