Kosovo Safer Internet Day Committee

Profile last updated: January 2026

About our SID activities

  • National Campaign "Cyberbullying is not a game" in schools, media and social networks. The campaign is organised in close coordination with public authorities, civil society and partners from the internet industry. In public schools, the first lesson will be dedicated to informing children on how to protect themselves from cyberbullying. Our partners will organise awareness meetings with parents, teachers and students in schools and communities across Kosovo.
  • National Forum on Safer Internet, which will be dedicated to combating cyberbullying against children and other vulnerable groups. This will be a major national event bringing together authorities, CSOs, industry and experts.
  • Launch of the National Report on Children’s Online Incidents 2025 in Kosovo, which is an annual publication that shows incidents reported near iSIGURT.al children and adolescents during their online navigation.
  • The establishment of the National Alliance against Cyberbullying, an informal network of organisations, experts and institutions that want to advocate for the safety and protection of citizens in the digital space, strengthened our voice in a new but important field, and coordinated a response to the need for more protection for children and young people.

What we are doing to create a better internet...

At Safer Internet Centre Kosovo, we work every day to build a safer, more inclusive, and empowering digital environment for children and young people in Kosovo. Guided by the Safer Internet Day slogan “Together for a better internet”, our mission brings together families, schools, institutions, civil society, and technology providers to protect children online and promote positive digital engagement.

Through our national hotline and helpline, we support children, parents, and educators in reporting harmful online content, including hate speech, cyberbullying, sexual exploitation, and any form of online violence. Our team provides specialised guidance, risk assessment, and referral to the responsible institutions, ensuring swift and child-centred responses.

We strengthen digital literacy and safety skills through awareness-raising campaigns, training programmes, and educational materials that reach thousands of children and professionals. We collaborate closely with ministries, schools, law enforcement, and international partners to improve national policies, enhance cross-sector coordination, and promote child-friendly online environments.

By combining education, protection, and advocacy, SIC Kosovo works to ensure that every child in Kosovo can explore the digital world with confidence, respect, and safety. Together with our partners, we remain committed to building a better internet for every child and young person.
