About our SID activities
For SID 2026, the Center for Advanced Studies FIT plans to organise a series of academic, educational, and public engagement activities aimed at promoting discussion, knowledge exchange, and awareness around key global and societal challenges.
The planned activities will include public lectures, panel discussions, workshops, and roundtable events, bringing together students, researchers, professionals, and policymakers. These events will focus on topics related to sustainable development, innovation, education, digital transformation, and evidence-based policymaking, in line with the values and objectives of the Sustainable Development goals and SID.
In addition to in-person events, the Center intends to make use of digital platforms to reach a wider audience through online discussions, webinars, and awareness campaigns. Special attention will be given to engaging young people, students, and early-career researchers, encouraging their active participation in debates and initiatives related to sustainable and inclusive development.
The activities planned for SID 2026 will aim to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, strengthen collaboration between academia and society, and contribute to a better understanding of the role of research and education in addressing contemporary challenges. As the campaign period approaches, further details and specific event programmes will be developed and shared.

In line with the SID slogan “Together for a better internet”, the Center for Advanced Studies FIT is committed to promoting a safer, more inclusive, and more responsible digital environment through education, research, and public engagement.
We work to raise awareness about digital literacy, online ethics, data protection, and responsible use of technology, with a special focus on young people, students, and educators.
