About our SID activities
We will launch a dedicated Safer Internet Day website to introduce initiatives in Japan. In addition, on February 10, we will host the “Safer Internet Day 2026 Japan Forum,” inviting organisations and companies working toward a safer and more secure internet in Japan. Through lightning talks (LT), participants will share their perspectives and efforts.

About us
Safer Internet Association (SIA) is a non-profit organisation fostering internet freedom and ensuring a safer internet environment for all. To achieve this goal, SIA plans and executes effective measures against abuse of the Internet technology by using a scientific approach based on factual data and a quantitative evaluation scheme.
We believe the internet is primarily built on self-discipline and self-help by citizens and companies, not on government control. However, it requires coordination among diversified bodies, including the government, businesses and citizens, to overcome conflicting interests and make it work in our society. SIA endeavours to enrich people’s lives through a safe and affordable internet environment by coordinating conflicting interests of different parties and further educating users on internet literacy.
