About our SID activities

This will be the 20th year of SID taking place in Albania. Although the plans are still being designed by all the members of the SID Committee, the main activities anticipated so far are:

  • National campaign "Cyberbullying is not a game" in schools, media and social networks. The campaign is organised in close coordination with public authorities, civil society and partners from the internet industry. In public schools, the first lesson will be dedicated to informing children on how to protect themselves from cyberbullying. Our partners will organise awareness meetings with parents, teachers and students in schools and communities across Albania.

  • 1st Safe Online Summit (and 11th National Forum on Safer Internet), which will be dedicated to combating cyberbullying against children and other vulnerable groups. This will be a major national event bringing together authorities, CSOs, industry and experts.

  • Launch of the National Report on Children’s Online Incidents 2025 in Albania, which is an annual publication that shows incidents reported near iSIGURT.al children and adolescents during their online navigation.

  • The establishment of the National Alliance against Cyberbullying, an informal network of organisations, experts and institutions that want to advocate for the safety and protection of citizens in the digital space, strengthened our voice in a new but important field, and coordinated a response to the need for more protection for children and young people.

  • Launch of the Youth Media Lab Albania - a dedicated hub for children and young people to co-create materials prepared by youth for children and youth in Albania.

  • Publication of guidelines for children with disabilities and their parents, in partnership with various CSOs working and providing services for children and youth with disabilities.

What we are doing to create a better internet...

iSIGURT works every day to make the digital world safer and more inclusive for everyone in Albania, in particular for children and young people. In line with the Safer Internet Day theme “Together for a better internet”, we focus on strengthening national systems that protect children online while also empowering families, schools and communities to recognise risks and respond early.

Through iSIGURT.al, we provide confidential support for children, youth, parents and teachers on cyberbullying, grooming, sexual extortion, hate speech or other digital harms. Our team offers real-time guidance, referrals to specialised services, and cooperation with the police and social services when a child is at risk. The platform runs awareness campaigns, practical safety tips and school-based education to build digital resilience. We work to foster a culture where every child and young person can explore the internet confidently and where harmful behaviour is recognised and addressed.

We invite everyone to explore our Youth Media Lab Albania, a national co-creative, learning and educational space where young people learn digital skills, media literacy, online safety and responsible content creation. The Lab offers workshops, tools, podcasts, interviews and youth-led campaigns that help young people understand how to navigate risks, counter misinformation and promote positive online behaviour. It stands as a practical example of how children and youth can take the lead in building a safer, more inclusive internet.

The 1st Safe Online Summit will focus particularly on sharing information and discussing, among authorities, CSOs and industry, DSA implementation in Albania and the approximation of the Albanian legal framework to that of the EU.
