00:00:00.640 --> 00:00:05.560
The internet gives many opportunities
to children and young people.

00:00:05.560 --> 00:00:10.320
With new digital technologies such
as the metaverse and virtual reality,

00:00:10.320 --> 00:00:12.320
the sky really is the limit!

00:00:12.697 --> 00:00:17.579
You can learn, play, connect with friends
and express yourself online.

00:00:17.579 --> 00:00:21.482
But as the digital world
continues to change quickly,

00:00:21.482 --> 00:00:24.280
there are also risks that we need to think of

00:00:24.280 --> 00:00:28.800
to make sure you can have a safe
and fun online experience.

00:00:29.318 --> 00:00:33.080
We want a safer and better
internet for the future,

00:00:33.080 --> 00:00:37.040
one where everyone can enjoy
all the opportunities.

00:00:37.040 --> 00:00:42.640
Each February, millions of people around
the world celebrate Safer Internet Day.

00:00:42.640 --> 00:00:47.800
On that day – and every day – we want
to inspire people to work together to

00:00:47.800 --> 00:00:53.960
create a better internet for everyone
where you feel protected, empowered, and respected

00:00:53.960 --> 00:00:59.480
whenever and wherever you go online,
and where no one gets left behind.

00:00:59.480 --> 00:01:05.320
Wherever you are, and whoever you are, you
can bring positive change to the internet.

00:01:05.320 --> 00:01:09.440
So what are you waiting for?
Join us for Safer Internet Day

00:01:09.440 --> 00:01:12.920
and let’s celebrate!
Together, we can create

00:01:12.920 --> 00:01:18.440
a better internet for everyone!
