France’s Screen Commission: Addressing the impact of screens on young people
In mid-January 2024, Emmanuel Macron established a Commission composed of experts from civil society to evaluate the issues related to children's exposure to screens and make recommendations. Over the course of three months, the Commission interviewed nearly 150 young people and heard from more than 100 experts and professionals to cover various aspects of children's and adolescents' relationships with screens and digital technology.
Keep your space safe: Campaign to strengthen cybersecurity
In response to an increase of contacts to the consultation service BEE SECURE Helpline regarding fraudulent e-crime activities, the initiative and Safer Internet Centre of Luxembourg BEE SECURE decided to focus its campaigning activities around strengthening cybersecurity over the course of the last school year 2023/24.The campaign focused particularly on cybersecurity basic skills, phishing, sextortion and the hacking of personal accounts.

As part of the ongoing youth-led audio series Casting the Net, the Webwise Youth Panel addressed the topic of the ‘manosphere’ and its potential impact on young people.Described as a loosely connected online community focused on discussions surrounding masculinity and gender relations, the ‘manosphere’ has sparked debate and controversy around masculinity, relationships, and gender dynamics.But how might this affect teenagers and what are the consequences?
