Sexuality and sexual violence online are relevant topics for educational professionals, not least because children and young people are often subjected to sexual harassment online. This makes it all the more important to have competent professionals available to answer questions on sexual topics and educate about risks, as well as provide support in cases of sexual violence. This handbook provides support in this area.

It is important for parents to be aware of both the positive and potentially dangerous aspects of sexuality online and to talk to their children about it. This brochure is designed to help educate children about sexting, sextortion and cyber grooming, to make them aware of the dangers and to teach them how to stay safe and confident online.

"En fait, c'est ok!" is the translation of Sensoa's ‘flag system' applied to online relationships and sexuality.

This tool teaches you how to react thoughtfully to sexual relationships and behavior online. You'll learn how to evaluate situations and give them a flag based on six criteria. For each situation, we propose a pedagogical response that translates into an appropriate reaction.

The “Sex, diversity and porn” quiz is aimed at young people and takes a playful approach to questions that are often associated with shame. It not only teaches the safe handling of intimate images, but also provides information on what is legally permitted from what age, what is meant by transsexuality and intersexuality and what contraceptive options are available. In the feedback, young people receive further information and find out where they can get more information if they have further questions.

Both children and adults can be at risk of being blackmailed or exploited online. This module explores the nature of sextortion and how online users can protect themselves and seek support.
There are a range of risks that children and adults can encounter online. One risk that has shown a dramatic increase in cases in recent years is that of sextortion, cybercriminals threatening to release sexual or intimate images of a user unless they pay the criminal money or perform another act.

Children and young people enjoy chatting and connecting with other people online. This can lead to friendships and even romantic relationships for some young people. As children get older, many will naturally be curious about their sexuality and explore this in their relationships. However, technology can sometimes introduce risks into this exploration. Sexting is one example of this.
