In addition to all the beautiful, interesting and funny content on social media services, there is unfortunately also negative content. For people in an acute crisis or even at risk of suicide, this content can be life-threatening. For example, if it reinforces the negative world view of those affected, condones suicide or even gives instructions for suicide. In Albania, thousands of children and young people become victims of violence, bullying, abuse and crimes online every day. Only a small proportion of these incidents are reported to authorities or the National Hotline for Child Internet Safety, as most victims feel scared, ashamed or have no confidence in the authorities to report. The Albanian Parliament Child Rights Caucus (Friends of Children Parliamentary Group) held a hearing session with iSIGURT.al to discuss the matter.

We've gone beyond the awareness-raising activities carried out by schools, and our aim now is to make ourselves known and distribute our content to as many people as possible.
