The Cyprus Digital Skills National Action Plan 2021-2025 is a comprehensive strategy designed to accelerate the country’s digital transformation and ensure all citizens are equipped for the digital era. Developed by the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, the plan addresses key challenges such as the digital skills gap, low digital literacy rates, and the underrepresentation of women in ICT. Its vision is to create a digitally mature society that can actively participate in the digital economy and society.

In its Resolution No. 629 of 3 October 2018, the Czech Government approved the cross-sectional strategic document Digital Czech Republic, which deals with all the effects of digitisation on the economy and society. It is a set of concepts that create the conditions for the long-term prosperity of the Czech Republic. Its content can be defined as follows: “Strategy of Coordinated and Comprehensive Digitisation of the Czech Republic 2018+”. “Digital Czech Republic” covers three pillars (partial strategies) that form one logical unit.

DOS promotes digital education and media literacy to enhance digitalisation in the national society. Under the strategy, no student should leave the educational system without digital competencies. According to the Strategy: "the school of the future is digital. By the end of 2018, at the beginning of the 2019 school year, all schools will have broadband Internet access and WiFi coverage , a significant number of teachers will receive teacher laptops, and the equipment of the classrooms will also improve".

The Digital Transformation Book ( Government Gazette 2894/Β/5-7-2021 ) is a record of the necessary interventions in the technological infrastructure of the state, in the education and training of the population for the acquisition of digital skills as well as in the way our country utilizes the digital technology in all sectors of the economy and public administration. Its main role is to describe the vision, philosophy and objectives of the national strategy for the digital transformation of the country.

The Centre for Social Media, Tech and Democracy has been established as part of the Media Agreement 2023-2026. The Centre contributes knowledge about users' mental well-being, about the importance and consequences of tech giants for Danish media, and about the impact the spread of misinformation and disinformation on digital platforms has on the democratic conversation.

The Curriculum Guidelines for ICT is an instrument designed to articulate digital skills and ICT as a cross-cutting area in the national curriculum (1st school cycle). This instrument clarifies how to develop digital skills, guide kids to access and use online services, online research, and effectively communicate using digital resources.

This Decree-Law implements Directive 2000/31/EC on information society services. Articles 13.º, 19.º-A and 19.º-B provide obligations regarding removal of illegal content, in particular child pornography or sexual exploitation, hate speech, or violence.
