AI applications and deepfakes have become a significant part of our everyday lives. That is why the German Awareness Centre klicksafe aims to empower young people, parents and educational professionals to deal with AI and deepfakes with this year's BackToSchool campaign. The campaign runs throughout September and offers new materials and tips for educational practice. One highlight of the campaign will be the klicksafe school lesson on 1 October, which can be streamed by schools nationwide.

As part of the Back to School activities, Generazioni Connesse (Safer Internet Centre Italy), in collaboration with the national eTwinning unit INDIRE, organised a new session of its expert webinars series.

The event addressed the crucial role of the internet and digital technologies in students’ everyday lives, both inside and outside the classroom—an environment that requires tools to promote positive use, as well as to prevent, recognise, respond to, and manage problematic situations.

The national campaign for better and safer digital space in public schools in Albania was supported by the Digital Europe programme and CRCA-ECPAT Albania, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the national child helpline in Albania (ALO 116-111). Since its launch in January 2025, as part of the campaign activities, members have met with over 7,400 children and adolescents, and over 600 teachers and parents, while the campaign's social pages have received more than 21,000 visits.

Created to compliment the Be in Ctrl teaching resource, this video depicts the stories of two teenagers subjected to online sexual coercion and extortion. This video has been shared online over 10,000 times and has views of over 1 million since its launch in September 2018. The purpose of this video is to inform young people that this behaviour is a crime, raise awareness of how to protect themselves online, where to find help and support and to give them Ctrl!
