A concerning trend among school-age children is the exposure to ultra-violent scenes (torture, beheadings, war scenes) on their smartphones. Alarmingly, 25 per cent of 11 to 18 year olds are engaging in this disturbing behaviour.

DigiStories: Alex is an educational video game that opens up the topic of healthy habits in the online environment. This game was published in October 2023 by One World in Schools, a division of the Czech organization People in Need. One World in Schools is also a part of Czech Safer Internet Centre.
Through an interactive conversation on the fictional social network DigiStories, students can learn about the signs and consequences of problematic behaviors related to the excessive use of digital technologies, in this case in the form of playing an online game.

The song "Z internetem świat jest bliski" (Internet makes the world closer), along with the music video and the lesson plan, represents the latest educational materials designed for children aged 4-7. These materials are aimed at promoting digital hygiene among the youngest. The protagonists of the music video are Mr. File and Mr. Folder, characters who introduce children to the virtual world and explain its basic concepts.

We have prepared a leaflet for teenagers on the importance of sleep. This leaflet was created for the purposes of Back-2-School 2023 campaign.
At the moment, the leaflet is only available online. You can find the digital version on the Safe.si website, as well as on Facebook and Instagram. Our objective is to reach as many young people as possible. The online version, provided as a downloadable PDF, is easily accessible and free of charge.

The "Home Screen Rules" campaign promotes the balanced use of screen devices so that they do not pose a threat to family relationships, children's development and the health of household members. So that when used consciously and in moderation, they are a positive addition to family life, not its focal point.

The brochure suggests how to establish and implement such rules to counteract the negative effects of excessive use of screens.

"Dopamine" is an educational film for young people devoted to the conscious and safe use of social media. The film touches on important topics such as the mechanism of the dopamine loop, profiling and toxic online relationships, while avoiding a one-sided narrative about the harmfulness of new technologies. In the narrative layer of the film we hear: "This is not a film about the Internet being bad. It's about us controlling the technology, not the technology controlling us.”
