Safer Internet Quizz
Child Focus developed this tool for the Safer Internet Day 2014. The “Safer Internet Day Quiz” aimed at all classrooms from 5th and 6th primary school. Students are asked to reply to the quiz regarding e-safety with 10 questions related to social mediaz, webcam, right of image, privacy and personal information, cyberbullying, etc. at the end, tips and tricks are given for the students and the teacher.

Internet and social media is a world where everything changes quickly. The digital world is no longer a separate world for children and young people, it is their global environment. Media literacy is also gaining in importance within the learning programmemes in education.

Although Belgian youngsters love the Internet, they are not always careful about it. Surfing the internet offers thousands of possibilities, but at the same time can be a difficult balancing act in which our youngsters have to be guided. Encouraging young people and children to use digital resources richly and creatively, but safely, is therefore necessary.
Child Focus is committed every year, in partnership with internet industries, to raise awareness among children in the fifth and sixth grade via the "Internet Safe & Fun" workshops.

Series of lesson plans about safety and security at schools for different age groups
The series of Internet Segura for Kids - IS4K’s lesson plans about safety and security, provide guidance for teachers. Each lesson plan includes two dynamic and interactive activities based on the promotion of personal responsibility and critical thinking for children and young people when facing online content, each of them lasts 50 minutes.
STAR SEN Toolkit
This STAR Toolkit is an extension of an original project developed in 2014 in partnership with Leicester City Council’s
Building Schools for the Future programme, with input and support from three schools in Leicester. This updated and
extended toolkit has been developed in 2018-2019 in partnership with SEN educators and supported by the European
Commission. The guidance aims to equip, enable and empower educators with the relevant knowledge they need to
support young people who have special educational needs when they are online.
