What do young people see as the biggest risks when they are online? What tips would they give other young people on how to deal with the various challenges they face online? Several interviews and workshops with participants of the klicksafe Youth Panel have resulted in a comprehensive guide with tips from young people on topics such as cyberbullying, excessive media use, hate speech, and dealing with AI. The new information brochure is now available to download and order.

The Τime-fish Activity Book is a fun and educational collection of activities that helps young children understand the importance of balancing digital and real life. The Greek Safer Internet Centre has launched "Your Safe Place", an innovative online platform designed especially for children and teenagers. How can we introduce digital safety with children in a way that feels fun and engaging? In Sweden, the Safer Internet Centre and the Swedish Agency for the Media (awareness centre) have joined forces with Story House Egmont to create a unique themed issue of the beloved comic book Donald Duck, focusing entirely on children’s online safety.

Although promoting media literacy among young users is the top priority, the use of technical measures on the digital devices of younger children can be helpful. The range of technical child protection measures is vast, and they typically combine various functions to keep inappropriate content away from minors. This usually involves setting usage times, filtering content, and blocking certain applications.

The poster is intended for parents of preschool children. It highlights the issue of excessive internet use among young children and its harmful impact on brain development. The poster was created in collaboration with the Section for Primary Pediatrics of the Pediatric Association. It was developed for the purposes of the campaign for parents of preschool children in November 2024.
