The Digital Transformation Guidelines 2021-2027 is a medium-term policy framework setting the strategic roadmap for Latvia’s digital transformation across society, economy, and public administration from 2021 to 2027.  The document sets long-term priorities and strategic guidelines for the country's digital development and changes to be implemented in all areas of the economy and life in order to ensure the digital environment. use and development in Latvian society and the State Administration.

The vision of BIK+ strategy is for age-appropriate digital services, with every child in Europe protected, empowered and respected online, and no one left behind.

The EU Youth Strategy (2019-2027) encourages more young people to participate in democratic life (e.g. discuss publicly or actively online things that are important for everybody, vote in elections). The EU wants to support young people so they know about their rights, and have the skills and necessary resources to play an active part in society.

In 2022, the Commission proposed a list of digital rights and principles, so daily online life for everyone in the EU is better and safer. They say that people should be free to make their choices online and participate in online discussions and other activities. The internet should become a safer and more secure place, especially for children.

The Digital Austria Act establishes a digital work programme with 117 measures and 35 principles for digitalisation in the country. It encompasses an analysis of law suitability for digital processes, public administrative reforms, and adaptation to technologies. Moreover, it is based on a digital accessibility principle that includes the entire population, especially people with disabilities.

The report emphasizes the need to align AI governance with democratic values and existing EU frameworks like the AI Act and GDPR.

Today, 20 November 2023, marks a special day on the calendar. World's Children's Day was first established in 1954 as Universal Children's Day to encourage international togetherness, raise awareness among children worldwide, and improve children's welfare.

It's a wrap for DigiGen! This European research project aimed to develop significant knowledge about how children and young people, a group growing up today which is often referred to as the "Digital Generation", use and are affected by the technological transformations in their everyday lives. After three years of research, the project has now concluded.
