Digital Czech Republic
In its Resolution No. 629 of 3 October 2018, the Czech Government approved the cross-sectional strategic document Digital Czech Republic, which deals with all the effects of digitisation on the economy and society. It is a set of concepts that create the conditions for the long-term prosperity of the Czech Republic. Its content can be defined as follows: “Strategy of Coordinated and Comprehensive Digitisation of the Czech Republic 2018+”. “Digital Czech Republic” covers three pillars (partial strategies) that form one logical unit.

Strategy on the rights of the child COM/2021/142 final
In 2021 the EU adopted its first comprehensive strategy on the rights of the child. The strategy covers six areas: children’s participation, inclusion in society, keeping children safe from harm, child- friendly justice, keeping children safe in the digital world and helping children globally. The strategy includes, among other actions a call to update the Better Internet for Children strategy, as well as other recommendations for Member States and companies.

Malta Diġitali 2022-2027
The Malta Diġitali Strategy sets out the national strategy for 2022-2027 and highlights how Malta intends to maintain its momentum as a leader in digital transformation while remaining mindful of social and economic opportunities and challenges that arise. It sets out how Government shall act not only in its traditional role as policy maker, promoter and regulator, but also as a catalyst for change through digitalisation alongside other social and economic actors.

National Framework for Children and Young People’s Participation in Decision-Making
The National Framework for Children and Young People’s Participation in Decision-making supports government departments, agencies and organisations to improve their practice in listening to children and young people and giving them a voice in decision-making. It was developed as a collaboration between the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Hub na nÓg and Professor Laura Lundy of Queens University, Belfast.
National Observatory on Childhood and Adolescence
The National Observatory on Childhood and Adolescence (Osservatorio Nazionale per l'Infanzia e l'Adolescenza) is a national body that coordinates national, regional, and local associations, and non-governmental organisations targeted at children.
Youth Council on Digitalisation
In the Netherlands, a Youth Council on digitalisation was established in September 2023, together with UNICEF. Children aged 11 to 17 advise the Minister for Digitalisation on relevant topics they encounter in their daily lives. The outcomes are fed into national policy on protecting children in the digital world. This initiative focuses on youth participation by safeguarding children's rights in the digital environment. Children aged 10 to 16 are trained to discuss digital matters that influence their lives, such as cyberbullying, online safety, and positive online content.
CyberSafety Youth voice
The CyberSafety Youth Panel of Cyprus created a video to promote the safe and creative use of the internet among young people. Members of the panel wrote the script, performed in, and directed the video. This resource can be used by teachers and social workers in various ways.
For example, it can help initiate discussions on cyberbullying, body image, internet overuse, and digital well-being. It can also encourage young people to engage with their community by creating their own cyber safety-related content.
Children and young people’s influencers
The report Childrens and Young People’s Influencers – A Focus Group Study presents the second and final part of a research project conducted by the Swedish agency for the Media within the framework of Safer Internet Centre Sweden. It is based on focus groups with children and young people, providing insights into their perspectives and experiences with influencers and influencer culture.
