Digizens is a magazine written by the Youth Panel of the Greek Safer Internet Centre, giving voice to young people's concerns, reflections, and ideas in a digital era that strongly shapes everyday life. The 5th issue explores how the digital world affects youth, with topics such as the impact of social media on mental health, online anonymity, digital detox, and the role of artificial intelligence. It invites young readers to reflect on how to make the most of the digital world while maintaining balance and safety.

The European Pillar of Social Rights sets out 20 key principles and rights essential for fair and well- functioning labour markets and social protection systems. The dedicated Action Plan turns the principles into concrete actions to benefit citizens. This includes supporting children in terms of affordable early childhood education and good quality child-care, protection from poverty, equal opportunities, and access to digital communications and other essential services.

Nowadays, many people perceive content differently than through writing and reading. 
On the website of the helpline, elaborate descriptions, tips and advices on many topics was placed in order to help those that are looking for more information on their issue. 
However, to be able to spread this information to those that rather watch an explainer video, we decided to start creating videos on five of our topics. This contributes to our information being more accessible to a wider range of people.

Today, 16 May 2024, we're celebrating Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD)! GAAD is an awareness day focusing on digital access and inclusion for the more than one billion people alive today who live with disabilities or impairments. It is marked annually on the third Thursday of May. The purpose of GAAD is to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital access and inclusion.
