Online habits of children and adolescents
One year after the Act came into force, a nationwide survey by the Greek Safer Internet Centre reveals that the EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA) is still falling short when it comes to protecting minors online. The survey, conducted in February 2025, gathered responses from 2,500 students aged 10–18 across Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Heraklion, and Larissa.

The seminar, held on September 26, 2024 as part of the “Back to School” day, offered an opportunity to engage students and the wider school community in a journey of exploration, reflection, and debate on the Digital Services Act (DSA), the new EU regulation designed to govern digital platforms and online services, with a particular focus on the protection and rights of young people online.

A recording of a 60-minute webinar for parents and caregivers about children's presence on various social networking sites.
The webinar was carried out as part of the of Digital Services Act (DSA) 2025 campaign. The experts from the Safe.si awareness centre guided viewers through the most common risks for children and adolescents on social media, and the protective measures prescribed by DSA.
The recording of the webinar is publicly available on the Safe.si website as well as on the Safe.si YouTube channel and on the ARNES video portal.

The DSA was created by the European Union (EU) to ensure that:
- digital technologies and online platforms respect everyone's rights;
- we can trust the digital services we use;
- we are safe and protected, regardless of the type of digital service we use, with special attention to minors;
The PT SIC team developed a social media campaign to promote the DSA. Enclosed is the Facebook campaign.
SIC Sweden’s national summit “A Better Internet for Kids”
The program of the summit features new knowledge on children’s lives online and information on the support that the organisations behind the Safer Internet Centre Sweden offer. The program includes The Swedish Agency for the Media’s presentation of three new reports where children and young people’s media use and health, relation to influencers and girls with neuropsyciatric disabilities and online behaviour are examined. There is also a presentation of the Digital Services Act, DSA, from a senior expert of the European Commission.
